Where will the course take place?

The course will run in West London at the Greenford Community Centre (170 Oldfield Lane South, Greenford, Middlesex UB6 9JS).

On which day of the week and at what time?
The course will run for ten sessions on Monday evenings (7 p.m.–9 p.m.) commencing on October 6th and ending on December 22nd, 2008.

Who is the tutor?
The course will be delivered by Dr. Imran Hamza Alawiye, the author of the popular ‘Gateway to Arabic’ series.

What are the course aims and content?
This course aims to engage the student in a variety of language exercises and dialogue activities that will serve to reinforce the vocabulary, grammar and skills they have already learned in ‘Gateway to Arabic’ Books One to Three. The course will focus mainly on the content of ‘Gateway to Arabic Book Four’ and will include grammar points such as double-root letter and hollow verbs, as well as the cardinal and ordinal numbers. Vocabulary will include areas such as family relationships, asking for directions and telling the time. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their comprehension of the language by listening to various passages of dialogue.

What are the entrance requirements?

Students are required to have successfully completed ‘Gateway to Arabic’ Books One to Three.

What are the fees?

The fee for the twelve sessions is £120. Fees may be settled in advance or on the first day of the course.

What do I need to bring with me?
A pen, an exercise book or file paper, and ‘Gateway to Arabic Book Four’ (available for purchase from the tutor).
